Bruce Malott is the founder and managing partner of O2 CPA Consulting Group. O2 is a boutique consulting and tax CPA firm that specializes in helping small businesses navigate complex tax, funding and profitability issues, as well as helping individuals achieve their personal financial goals. Bruce brings invaluable guidance and counsel to his clients that help them grow their profits and by finding their critical elements of success.
After starting his career with Deloitte in 1979 Bruce launched Meyners + Company, an Albuquerque, NM CPA firm in 1983. Meyners + Company was known for innovative marketing, outstanding customer service, and professional expertise. By the time the firm was acquired by Clifton Gunderson LLP in 2011, it had grown its annual revenues to $10,000,000 and had over 70 team members. The Clifton Gunderson acquisition allowed Bruce to return to his true calling–helping small businesses grow and prosper.
Beyond his tax advice and business consulting, Bruce is a nationally recognized forensic accounting expert, with experience in testifying in over 100 cases.
Bruce has lived in Albuquerque since 1975 when his family moved from Long Island, NY to New Mexico. He graduated from Arizona State University with honors, and serves on the BBVA Compass Bank Advisory Board. In addition, Bruce is a former member and secretary of the New Mexico Retiree Healthcare Authority, former chairman of the Educational Retirement Board of New Mexico and former chairman and member of the NM State Board of Public Accountancy.
Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst, and is Certified in Financial Forensics.
